Announcements and Murfy guide

Murfy has an info area with Announcements, the Murfy guide, and MCP setup. These pages open without logging in.

Open the info pages

• On the dashboard, click your profile picture at the top right and choose Announcements, MCP setup, or Murfy guide.
• On the login screen, click the round ? button at the bottom right and choose Announcements or Murfy guide. See Log in.

Move around the info pages

The left sidebar has these items:

On a narrow screen, click the menu button (Open menu) at the top left to open the sidebar, and Close menu to close it. Click the Murfy logo to go to your dashboard.

At the top right, you see your profile menu if you're logged in. If you're not, you see a language menu. Choose English, 한국어, 简体中文, Español, or Français and the page reloads in that language. This only changes the language in your browser and isn't saved to your account. To set the language for your account, see Language and theme.

Announcements

The Announcements page lists updates and notices from the Murfy team, newest first. Each row shows a category label, the title, and the date.

• Search: type in the search box ("Search announcements by title.") to filter by title.
• Categories: the tabs are All, Feature, Maintenance, and General. Each tab shows how many announcements it has, and the numbers follow your search.
• Unread dot: a blue dot next to a title (New announcement) means you haven't opened it yet. The dot only appears for 14 days after an announcement is published, and goes away once you open it. Which announcements you've read is remembered in your browser.
• Language: announcements are shown in your service language, or in English if there's no version in that language.

Click an announcement to read it. The page shows the category, the title, the date, and the full text. Click Announcements at the top to go back to the list. At the bottom, Recent announcements lists up to three other announcements.

If nothing matches your search, you'll see "There are no announcements yet."

Murfy guide

The Murfy guide page collects feature-by-feature demos in one place. Each card has a preview image and a title. Click a card to open an interactive demo of that feature. Some cards are marked Start here.

• Search: type in the search box ("Search for a feature.") to filter cards by title.
• Categories: the tabs are All, Dashboard, LaTeX editor, and Collaboration. Each tab shows the number of cards, and the numbers follow your search.
• If nothing matches, you'll see "No matching guides found." Try a different feature name or check the spelling.
