Tutorial

When you open a project, Murfy can show a guide automatically. Which guide you get depends on when you created your account.

  • Accounts created after the latest feature release: a tour of coach marks. Each one points at a part of the screen: the editor, the Compile button, the compiled PDF, and Murfy AI. The Murfy AI step opens the AI Agent panel. Steps for controls that aren't on screen, such as the PDF before your first compile, are skipped.
  • Older accounts: slides about features released in the last 30 days. Only slides for features released after you last closed or finished a guide appear. If you've already opened a feature's announcement in this browser, its slide doesn't appear. See Announcements and Murfy guide.

The guide appears automatically at most once per visit. Once you finish or close a guide, it doesn't appear automatically again. This is remembered on your account.

To open a guide yourself, open Tutorial & Shortcuts in the left sidebar.

  • Take the tour again: plays the coach-mark tour from the start. On older accounts, the feature slides follow the last step.
  • What's new: opens the feature slides, including ones released more than 30 days ago. On newer accounts, the slides introduce Murfy AI's edits, fixing compile errors, AI review, and History.

A dot on the Tutorial & Shortcuts icon means you haven't seen the latest feature slides. It goes away when you finish or close the slides. On newer accounts, it also goes away when you finish the tour.
